WINhealth Partners

On October 21, 2015, Winhealth Partners, Inc. a Wyoming domiciled Health Maintenance Organization ("Winhealth") was placed under Receivership by the District Court, First Judicial District, County of Laramie, Wyoming, Case No. 184-929. The Wyoming Insurance Commissioner, Tom Glause was appointed Receiver.

On January 12, 2016 Commissioner Glause, in his capacity as Receiver of Winhealth, sought and obtained an order from Wyoming’s District Court, First Judicial District, County of Laramie, Wyoming finding Winhealth statutorily insolvent. In accordance with the Order to Liquidate Winhealth Partners, the Commissioner took possession of all of Winhealth’s property, and further the Commissioner as Receiver shall liquidate Winhealth’s business.

As a result of the entry of the Order to Liquidate Winhealth, and subject to statutory conditions and limitations, the Wyoming State Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association has statutory obligations to provide coverage for health policies issued to policyholders who reside in Wyoming. To help facilitate the efficient run off of the Winhealth covered policy claims, the Receiver has entered into a service agreement with the Wyoming Insurance Guaranty Association to provide claims handling services.

Further in accordance with the Order to Liquidate Winhealth, the Receiver will commence a Proof of Claims ("POC") process on or before April 11, 2016. All POCs must be received back by the Receiver no later than January 2, 2017 (claims bar date) to be considered for approval.

The Receiver is also required to report quarterly to the District Court commencing with the first report due on or before May 1, 2017.
